Should I use an Oil Cleanser?Updated 19 hours ago
Oil cleansers are excellent for removing oily makeup and environmental pollutants from your skin. Choose an oil cleanser that emulsifies—it acts like a magnet, drawing debris from your pores and helping to prevent blackhead buildup.
(Tip: All AOS oil cleansers emulsify!)
How to Use an Oil Cleanser
- Apply: Dry hands are used to apply the cleanser to dry skin.
- Massage: Gently massage your skin for 2 minutes.
- Emulsify: Wet your hands and massage again to emulsify the oil.
- Remove: Wipe away the cleanser using a damp, warm AOS Luxe cloth or AOS Luxe Eco Towel.
Tip:
Always follow your oil cleanser with a water-based gel cleanser. Oil cleansers do not rehydrate the skin—in fact, they can block hydration. A water-based gel cleanser breaks down the skin's surface tension, allowing water to penetrate and effectively rehydrate your skin.
